While I enjoy the "glory" of large units, painting time is the real issue for me. When I look at different county's units, I want them to look different form each other. Other-wise, all the ...

Evan,

A couple of British questions:

1) Are you using "full" size or average number of troops as the basis for number of bases in a regiment (or brigade?) ie. the theoretical size of a ...

Old Glory 25s and Old Glory 15s are now two different companies. Here is a link to Old Glory 15s, where you will find 15mm Napoleonics.

Essex figs are nice, clean sculpts, with lots of detail. They tend to be a little short (some say Gnomish) compared to AB, etc. Their horses are nice and big compared to the rider (as good Biritish ca ...

I have not played any of the four posted but the choice really depends on what scale you want to play. Do you want your force to be a Brigade, Division, Corps, or Army?

At what level of gaming should skirmishers disappear from the board and become an abstract value?

When playing small scale action, how would skirmishers best be represented rules-wis ...

Any time you look at OOB you have to be careful. Theoretical establishment was often way different from reality. For instance:

British battalion in theory had 10 companies each of 100 =1,000

I have bought, read, and played many different Napoleonic rules sets. They all were lacking something in my opinion.
