Here are some Eureka 18mm Russians I've been painting for the Crimean war. I thought I'd adapt Kelly Gay's rules Point d’Rupture for Crimea. As you can see I'm yet to do the bases.

Made the infantry flags myself in Photoshop from a scan of a basic flag.

I'm still playing with my new camera so the depth of field is not always great on these.

not bad at all! I bet Kelly's rules will work for that period as well with no problems.

Had you thought about posting the pictures of our game you took over christmas here?

cheers,

Evan

Pictures?.......Game?........Christmas?........... Yes Wayne, you had better post those pics. We need more to look at here. Wink

Your Russians are very nicely done. For troops that have a rather non-descript uniform, you have managed to include a wealth of detail. The flags came out very well. I have a question about the webbing. Do you first paint them black, then go back with white down the center (leaving a black edge showing)? Or, do you paint them white first, then go back and line in the black? However you did it, looks great.

Belts: The first method. They are usually the last thing I paint so they remain black right up to then.

I'll post some of the Christmas games picture today.

Thanks for the tip.

Oh, and BTW, I didn't mean to neglect your cavalry. They are first rate as well.
