I hope you changed the game scale. Platoon sized stands is... problematic... at best! |

We've kept it at 2 stands = a company the rules are on my clubs website but the newest edition hasn't been put on yet (version 4) www.cheltenhamwarchiefs.co.uk
Andy and I found the origonal rule set from this website. We felt that there were a number of loop holes and difficulties with this set and decided to revamp it (Nicofig dont get us wrong you did stirling work!!). Andy and I have worked hard over the past 5 months revamping the ruleset, discussing and writing army lists, etc. Last week we completed version four of the edit and playtested a small
battle between British and Prussian forces
The ruleset appears to work very well and would like people to read it and comment on these changes check out our clubs website for pictures of our armies and future developments. We would like the Administrator put up a new sticky containing our new rules pack and quick refernce sheet that we have developed. |

Hi General Laird... Tried the link to the modified rules from the Downloads section of the CWC site... seems to be broken?
I'd be interested in seeing where you have gone with it. |

Hello everyone
my name is Andy, im from the Cheltenwarchiefs in Gloucestershire, UK. Scott and I have been working on an updated version of the NAPFOW ruleset.
I am trying to rectify the problem of our club website so you can download the latest version. I have also asked Jason if he can add a sticky on this website for you guys.
we would be very interested in your comments (once you get a copy, lol) as these kinds of projects evolve with input from interested parties.
Look forward to a healthy discussion and debate
Best wishes
Andy |

Hi Nicofigs
Thank you for the compliment. The bones of the rules were set down by you and provided a solid foundation to work on. All we have done is to bring it line with the updated version of the FOW rules and further develop ideas, army lists and playability. I hope you enjoy it.
That said, i would like to do more work on using cavalry in assaults and shooting as they di very easily at the moment!! They need toughening up. We like 3 stands as a number for cav so the other ide is to beef up their stats. Any suggestions??
cheers
Andy |
