I just looked at Evan's AB French in the Gallery (again!) and have to say how impressed I am with the sculpts (as well as Evan's terrific paint job). The question I have, is there a US distributor for the AB line? I can only find them available in England and Australia, and I am a little apprehensive about ordering from overseas. However, if they are not available here, which of the two would be the better to deal with---- anyone have any experiences with either? Which one has the better exchange rate at this time? Any advice or comments are welcome.

I remembered seeing this on TMP

cheers,

Thank you, very much Evan. Now my problem will be to decide which army to collect. I have to tell you though, the Russian Kurassiers charging look pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind refighting Borodino.
Now, get back to finishing that B4 203mm howitzer---- Bagration is just around the corner.

Just finished ordering some Russian Kurassiers, Musketeers, and Grenadiers. The site was easy to navigate, and had pictures of most everything, though I couldn't pull up the British Highlanders. We shall see in the next week how nice the AB figs are. Guess I better start researching uniform info.

Got my minis yesterday in the mail---- fast and well packed, thanks Rob.
They are very nicely sculpted with a variety of poses. There was little flash to be cleaned away (mostly on the underside of the horses) and the mold lines are almost non-existent. And the best part, they not only match up well (size wise) with my Old Glory French
but I think I can use them along with my old Heritage Prussians.
If you look at the above pic you will notice that, while the AB trooper is larger than the Heritage one, the horses are very nearly the same size. I wouldn't want to mix them in the same force, but they could certainly oppose each other, especially if I used some creative basing (which I haven't done here, yet).
I've cleaned and primed the horses, and hopefully will have time this week to paint them. (However, it is the week before Christmas, and I am in retail, so there may be some delay before you see any progress.)
