I am thinking of putting togeether a couple Napoleanic armies and the Saxons caught my eye. Were the Saxons known for anything in particular? I guess I am looking for some general info on them in the 1809 campaigns and how it would pertain to fielding them in the game. Also uniform info would be helpful.
Thanks in advance. |

the saxons were a small army but decent trained for the period they fought for the french and prussians if you wanted to include them as a mixed army |

Apparently, the Saxon heavy cavalry was instrumental in the capture of the Great Redoubt at Borodino.

I have found out a little bit including that. They seemed to get shot at by both the Austrians and their French and Italian allies quite a bit. Mostly because of the white uniforms. |
